InGround and FlatGround Trampolines in Northern Ireland
BERG makes two kinds of trampoline that go into the lawn rather than standing on legs. They look similar in photos but they are different products, at different prices, with different net options. This guide sets out the difference, lists every size we show with its price, and explains how installation works.
InGround and FlatGround: the difference
- InGround is set into the lawn with a low raised edge. It is made in the Favorit, Champion, Elite ranges, from €339 to €1,949.
- FlatGround sits completely level with the lawn. It is made in the Champion, Elite, Pro Bouncer ranges, from €699 to €4,999.
Because a FlatGround sits at ground level there is no step up and no ladder, and it keeps the view of the garden. Either type catches far less wind than a trampoline on legs, though a safety net still catches wind.
Three things are not made, which saves looking for them: there is no Favorit FlatGround, no oval FlatGround, and no InGround Pro Bouncer.
InGround sizes and prices
Round, oval (BERG calls these Grand) and rectangular (Ultim). Each is sold without a safety net, which BERG labels SPORTS, or with one.

FlatGround sizes and prices
Round, rectangular and square. The AeroWall is BERG's stunt wall. It is made for rectangular (Ultim) FlatGround models only, and the table shows which sizes offer it.

Net options
- Favorit InGround: without a net, or with the Safety Net Comfort.
- Champion InGround: without a net, or with the Safety Net Deluxe.
- Elite InGround: without a net, or with the Safety Net Deluxe.
- Round FlatGround (Champion and Elite): sold without a safety net.
- Rectangular FlatGround: the two smallest Ultim Champion sizes have no net. The larger Champion sizes, the Ultim Elite and the Pro Bouncer can be bought without a net or with the Safety Net Deluxe XL.
Whether to have a net is your decision. A net keeps jumpers on the mat; leaving it off keeps the garden view clear. If you are unsure, tell us who will be using it when you book a garden consultation.

How installation works
We supply and deliver the trampoline. We do not install it.
The groundwork is done by an independent installer, a landscaper or a builder. They look at your garden, tell you whether the spot you have in mind will work, and give you a quote. They follow BERG's manual, which comes with the trampoline and sets out what the groundwork has to be for that model.
If you do not already have someone, we can put you in touch with an independent installer. They quote you directly; the trampoline price on the shop does not include any groundwork.
We do not publish dimensions, drainage details, costs or timings for the groundwork, and we do not send drawings. Those depend on the model and on your garden, and the right source is BERG's manual in the hands of the person doing the work.
Questions to ask an installer
- Have you fitted a BERG InGround or FlatGround before?
- How will you deal with water in my soil?
- What happens to the soil you dig out? Is taking it away included?
- Is making good the lawn around the trampoline included?
- How long will the work take, and when can you start?
- Can I have the quote in writing, with what is and is not included?
It also helps to tell them how machinery can reach the back garden, since access often decides how a job is done.

Common questions
Do you install InGround or FlatGround trampolines?
No. We supply and deliver the trampoline. The groundwork is done by an independent installer, landscaper or builder who looks at your garden and gives you a quote. We can put you in touch with an independent installer if you do not have one.
How much does the groundwork cost?
We cannot give a figure, because it depends on your garden: the soil, the access and what happens to the soil that is dug out. Whoever does the work should see the garden and give you a written quote before you commit.
Can an InGround trampoline have a safety net?
Yes. Every InGround model on this site is sold either without a net or with one. On a FlatGround, the round models are sold without a net, and a net is optional on the larger rectangular models.
Is there a Favorit FlatGround or an oval FlatGround?
No. FlatGround is made in the Champion, Elite and Pro Bouncer ranges, in round, rectangular and square shapes. The oval Grand models are InGround or above ground only, and Favorit is InGround or above ground only.
How long does delivery to Northern Ireland take?
Models in stock are delivered within 48 hours; otherwise delivery is typically 7 to 10 days. Delivery is free on orders over €300, which covers every trampoline. It is worth agreeing dates with your installer before you order.
